Lindy was founded in 1932 by Kurt Lindenberg in Breslau and has developed over nine decades from a small retailer of petroleum lamps into a globally operating provider of connectivity technology. In the 1950s, the company entered the electronics market, and in 1968 the brand name “Lindy” was used for the first time. In the following decades, the company grew through technological innovations, the sale of electronic kits, computer accessories, and cable systems, as well as strong international expansion with locations in Europe, Asia, Australia, and the USA.
Despite its growth, Lindy has remained a family-owned business and continues to stand for continuity and the future of the family tradition.
The Lindy-Elektronik GmbH is currently led by Peter Lindenberg. At the German headquarters, he is supported by Chief Operating Officer Sebastian Bach.
