Since 1965, the NORD DRIVESYSTEMS Group has been developing, producing and selling drive technology with around 4,800 employees (as of 2023). We are one of the leading international full-range suppliers in the industry. In addition to standard drives, we also supply application-specific concepts and solutions for special requirements. For example, we support our customers with energy-saving drives or explosion-proof systems.
NORD develops and produces a diverse range of drive solutions for over 100 industries. This is based on a range of gear units for torques from 10 Nm to over 282 kNm, electric motors in the power range from 0.12 to 1,000 kW and frequency inverters with the corresponding power electronics up to 160 kW. We offer inverter solutions both for classic installation in control cabinets and for decentralized and fully integrated drive units. In the 2023 financial year, total turnover amounted to 1.09 billion euros. NORD has 48 subsidiaries in 36 countries and sales partners in more than 50 countries. These offer technical advice, on-site stocking, assembly centers and customer service.
In addition to the companies in Germany, this sustainability report also includes the ten largest subsidiaries abroad with locations in Poland, Italy, France, China, the USA and India. With this expanded scope of reporting, we now cover 90% of our employees and over 90% of our CO2e emissions.
