Founded in Hamburg in 1919, WISKA is today one of the leading manufacturers of electrical installation materials, lighting products and CCTV video surveillance for shipbuilding, industry and the electrical trade. WISKA's products range from cable entries and junction boxes to reefer container sockets, floodlights, spotlights and video surveillance systems. As a solution provider, WISKA is always committed to delivering the highest quality products and covers the entire value chain at its headquarters in Kaltenkirchen near Hamburg: research and development, design, procurement, production, laboratory, marketing, sales and logistics as well as service for the two business units "Industry & Trade" (I&T) and "Shipbuilding & Offshore" (S&O). Everything is handled by WISKA and is controlled by a strict quality management system.
The innovation and development department develops customer-specific solutions and works hand in hand with production at two locations on site. Increasing automation, a high degree of digitalization and the integrated quality laboratory help to meet the high standards of quality and efficiency of WISKA.
Customer proximity and on-site support are particularly important to WISKA. Today, the WISKA family includes a global network of authorized dealers and subsidiaries in Brazil, China, the United Kingdom, India, Spain and South Korea. At the end of 2023, the WISKA Group employed 248 people at its German site and 327 worldwide. As an owner-managed family business now in its 3rd generation, WISKA values good, long-term relationships with its customers, suppliers and its team. WISKA attaches great importance to good training and further education and accompanies the professional careers of the global WISKA team throughout their careers. More than 19% of the permanent workforce started their careers as apprentices at WISKA. Flexible working hours, digital working and a friendly working atmosphere make WISKA an attractive employer just outside its home city of Hamburg.
