Describe your business model (including type of company, products / services)
Blue Cap AG is a listed investment company established in 2006 with its registered office in Munich. The company invests in SMEs in the B2B area under the strategy “BUY, TRANSFORM, SELL” and supports them in their entrepreneurial development. The companies are headquartered in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, normally generate revenue of between EUR 30 and EUR 80 million, and have an intact core business.
As an experienced investment company with long-term success, Blue Cap AG acquires and supports SMEs with a clear potential for improving their earnings and strong growth prospects, which we increase through active support of the companies. Our investment in the portfolio companies does not assume a fixed holding period. Our companies secure Blue Cap’s further growth with strong earnings and remain in the Group until successful further development with a new ownership structure makes more sense (best owner principle). Blue Cap basically focuses on fundamental profitability parameters (growth, cost structures, margins), securing and expanding its economic capacity (liquidity) and adjusting its strategic orientation for successful further development. In the latter, the topics of digitisation and sustainability play a prominent role because they are an important prerequisite for competitiveness.
The Group currently holds majority stakes in the following companies, which are allocated to different segments:
Adhesives & Coatings
