Additional remarks:
In 2018, 10 external audits were performed at our company. On the one hand, there were customer audits to examine our management system or surveillance audits of our certification bodies. On the other hand, there is an annual audit on food safety during which the auditor of the respective certification body examines the entitlement to issue an IFS-Logistics certification every year.
For the first time, Anhalt has been audited by the customs authority for the AEO-F status in 2018; the status “AEO F (Full)” was then awarded after a company visit on June 30, 2019.
In the context of globalization, and as a result of increasing international terrorism, the security of goods movements becomes increasingly important in international trade. The AEO status certifies companies with regard to their reliability and security in international economic transactions. Receiving the AEO-F certificate speeds up customs clearance on both the import and export side due to reduced controls and preferential customs treatment. It also facilitates access to further customs simplifications. The AEO F approval is subject to extensive requirements: As part of the certification of Anhalt Logistics, among others, the solvency, compliance measures, a reliable accounting, and the safety and quality management are examined.
Currently, the member states of the European Union, Switzerland, the United States of America, Norway, Japan, Andorra, and China acknowledge the AEO-F status. The AEO-F certificate unifies the customs simplification of the AEO-C (Customs) as well as the safety-related component of the AEO-S (Security) and is considered the highest possible level of certification.
