Describe your business model (including type of company, products / services)
HiPP is the leading manufacturer of premium baby food and one of the world’s largest processors of organically produced raw materials. The family business has been dedicated to organic farming for over 60 years, based on three essential pillars: healthy soil, untreated seeds and natural growth.
Joseph Hipp began producing baby food as early as 1899. With HiPP’s establishment in 1932, his son Georg laid the foundation for today’s company. Since the launch of the first HiPP product, rusk flour for children, HiPP has developed into a premium brand, offering more than 400 products today.
The company’s product range includes formulae, purees, baby cereal, teas, weaning foods, drinks, skincare products, nappies, nursing juices and breastfeeding teas, sip and tube feeds, and organic meals for daycare centres.
Its production sites are located in Germany, Croatia, Austria, Russia, Switzerland, Ukraine, and Hungary. Around 3,500 employees generated annual sales of more than 1 billion euros in 2019. The key sales markets include Germany, the Baltic states, Benelux, Bulgaria, France, Great Britain, Italy, Croatia, Austria, Poland, Russia, Switzerland, Scandinavia, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Ukraine, Hungary, other Eastern and Southeastern European countries, as well as China, Vietnam and other Asian countries.
Additional remarks:
At all HiPP production sites located within the European Union, environmental management has been validated in accordance with EMAS and social management in accordance with EMASplus since 2018.
