QUMsult is a middle-class oriented consulting company with a pragmatic and integrated approach concerning the themes of quality, environment and safety (occupational safety and health).
Customers from a variety of sectors receive support in setting up and operating their management systems in accordance with globally accepted standards of the International Standards Organization (ISO) as well as of the British Standards Institution (BS). Our consulting services include ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, OHSAS 18001, TS 16949 and ISO 13485.
The core business of QUMsult is to ensure the smoothness of certification processes.
For example, customers are supported in:
- Regular assessment of the compliance with legal requirements (Legal Compliance Audits)
- Responsibilities and functions of management representative
- Training and instruction of workers (e.g. auditor training)
Since 2009, we offer as new service consulting for sustainability management in small and medium enterprises. Despite various marketing campaigns in this direction, companies are currently very cautious in the concrete implementation of sustainability. Nevertheless, we believe sustainability is a great opportunity for small and medium enterprises for innovate and compete in the future.
A further component of our core business is to develop and distribute database-driven software, as well as Web-based applications for quality, environment and occupational safety and health. QUMsult software support systems management and are developed partly with/for our clients. These data-base-driven programs can be used in the companies either locally or as web-based application (SAAS Software as a Service).
For QUMsult sustainable software is the one which is programmed in such a way that customer can self-program it according to individual requirements or is kept up to date by means of maintenance services. For web-based applications the customer is provided with a platform, in which he can edit its own data. The platform is continuously adjusted according to wishes of the user. For optimal communication between developers and users a special platform is established.
Customers are mainly located in South Germany, but are also numerous in the entire Federal Republic, as well as some abroad.
QUMsult´s software are utilized primarily in Germany and some versions in Austria and Switzerland.
Our first sustainability report was conducted in 2007 and updated in 2009. In that regard, various guidelines and principles of sustainability were considered: Institute for ecological economy research (IÖW), the Institute of market environment society (IMUG), the Ministry of the Environment, Climate Protection and the Energy Sector Baden-Württemberg, the Federal Ministry of Environment and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
Since its foundation in 1995 the economic situation has continiously improved. Due to an equity ratio of 100 % no investors are needed and QUMsult acts exclusively regarding to its own guidelines and customers requirements. Nearly half of the turnover results from continuous consultancy service. Turnover based on employees worktime increased to 50,- EUR per hour (2012: 40,- EUR). The consultancy service of QUMsult enables companies to handel in an efficient and sustainable way by saving ressources and reducing environmental impacts. Consultancy in healty and safe workplaces improves health and safety of employees in those organisations.
